About
A homestead, a long view
We're a family working 28 acres in North Texas with permaculture principles and a stubborn belief in honest work.
The land
Twenty-eight acres of pasture, woodlot, and creek bottom in North Texas. The soil isn't bad, but it's been grazed conventionally for decades — our job is to leave it better than we found it.
The plan
Diversified animal rotations, perennial plantings, a market garden, and one steady hand on the budget. We're building toward a real farm business — slowly enough to do it right, fast enough that it actually happens.
Why share it?
Because the only farm advice I trust is the kind that comes with numbers attached. If we publish what worked and what didn't, somebody else gets to skip the same mistake.
